2009 Scott Speedster - complete bikes from just £599! The 2008 Speedster series gets a shapely new hydro-formed 7005 butted alloy frameset that is elegant and unique to look at, and which delivers high levels of ride refinement at an affordable price. Unlike other aluminium frames, the head, down and top tubes are constructed as a single unit using fluid pressure, rather than being mitred and welded. The tubes are profiled and the head tue is oversized to create a quick and sharp handling ride, backed up by race geometry. Weighing a scant 2.62 lbs, the Speedster frame is lighter than many competitors’ high end offerings. "From the first pedal strokes, the Scott Speedster S20 feels electric—highly charged and instantly reactive. Shift your hips ever so slightly in the saddle and the bike responds by changing lines. Shift them subtly in the other direction and the bike is on your new course. Aim straight and pedal like hell, and you'll feel as if every watt from your legs is maximized." 2009 Scott CR1 - complete bikes with Shimano 105 from just £1299.99!
In stock now! The 2009 CR1 - The model in which the revolutionary CR1 process was born and still the benchmark by which carbon bikes are measured. HMF (High Modulus Fiber) carbon and CR1 construction produce an extremely light (990 grams) and laterally stiff frameset. The SDS (Shock Dampening System) and CR1 fork cancel road vibrations to provide a smooth, comfortable ride. Astonishing value for money for a true race bred bike. VeloNews Buyer's Guide Recommends CR 1 Pro: "CR1 is SCOTT's original tube-to-tube construction frame that weighs in at 880 grams. Designated "Carbon for Racing, Series 1," the Pro is built to be laterally stiff and vertically compliant. Aside from the alloy dropouts and bottom bracket insert, the frame is completely carbon fiber. It's assembled in a three-point process: joints are cut, then held in place with a bonding agent, and finally connected with pre-preg patches stretched over each joint." >> view Scott CR1 range, reviews and standard specs (Scott's site) Sample builds: 2009 Scott CR1 Team SE - £1599.99: 2009 Scott CR1 Pro - £1999.99: "Let's just say that when the bike arrived on my doorstep, it almost rode out of the box on its own. I put it together and threw my leg over it for the first time. I felt like I had found the bike that I had been longing for all my life... Sure it's light, but the real joy was the incredible responsive qualities of its ride. Nothing was lost from the pedal strokes, and when you accelerate hard out of the saddle in a switchback, it's all there right underneath you... |

2009 Scott Addict - complete bikes from £1999.99!
The 2009 Addict is the lightest road frame available, just 790 grams with integrated Seatpost (165 grams). By developing further upon their successful CR1 process, Scott have created a state of the art Integrated Molding Process (IMP™) and mated it with their Naked External Tubeset (NET™), which removes the cosmetic layer of carbon and shaves precious grams off the entire frame. The Addict also features carbon dropouts, an integrated carbon seatpost, a replaceable allow hanger, and a carbon front derailleur mount. The team bike of the 2009 Columbia pro team. The Addict was developed with feedback from Pro-Tour athletes Gilberto Simoni and Leonardo Piepoli. When combined with the new, slimmer carbon IMP™ fork that weighs just 330 grams, the 2008 Addict LTD weighs an amazing 5.9 kg (size 54) for the complete bike. Quite simply, the lightest production road frame in the world - but this would count for nothing if the ride didn't match up to the figures. But the reality is that it rides beautifully, as review after review highlights. Light, fast, quick handling with a silky smoothness. Bicycling Buyer's Guide: "the ride quality of the Addict is so fundamentally smooth that the carbon construction itself must be the key. Punch the pedals and the bike leaps; press down on the inside drop and it lasers through a corner; jut your hip sideways and it scampers to a new line.... We were thrown by just how light, fast, stiff yet smooth the Addict is.." >> view Scott Addict range, reviews and standard specs (Scott's site) Sample builds: 2009 Scott Addict R3 - £2399.99 2009 Scott Addict R2 - £4599.99 Road Bike Action magazine: "If you've ever wanted to feel like a pure, genetically-favored hill-climbing maniac, this is the bike for you. Over and over again, test riders shouted out that they have never climbed so fast, so smoothly and so efficiently while on a bike..." Cycling Plus magazine: "The Addict LTD is one super-fast bike, and its acceleration and climbing will stun you and everyone who rides with you." |

2009 Scott Plasma - complete bikes with Shimano Ultegra from £1899!
Utilizing Scott’s proprietary CR1 technology, their time trial experience at the ProTour level, and the input of professional triathletes Cameron Brown and Steve Larsen, Scott's engineers have developed a state-of-the-art timetrial/triathlon frame; the PLASMA. The frame is 980 grams (2.15 lbs.) light. Add the integrated aero seatpost at 300 grams (.66 lbs.) and the result is the world’s lightest aero carbon frame with timetrial/triathon-specific geometry. Scott's True-Aero tubeset design maximises aerodynamics and reduces turbulence around the frame - their extremely high quality standards mean that every frame takes 42 hours of hand craftsmanship to build it. "the Plasma is surprisingly light. I reached this conclusion even before the bike was weighed at 8.4kg without pedals and bottle cages. The frameset weighs a claimed 980g, which is mighty impressive for a unit with such outrageous aero tubing. >> view Scott Plasma range, reviews and standard specs (Scott's site) Sample build: 2009 Scott Plasma Pro SE - £1899.99 Triathlete Magazine: "In the ever-evolving landscape of tri-bike design and wind-tunnel testing, the age-old question of "Cool...how light is it?" has lost ground to "Cool...how aero is it?"...SCOTT Bicycles showed us how we can have both..." |
