“Compression garments and recovery from eccentric exercise – A MRS study.”
Published in Journal of Sports Science and Medicine. (5) 106-114. This study showed significant improvement
in enzymes involved in muscle membrane restoration after only 1 hour wearing Skins™ after controlled muscle injury.
Gill N, Beaven C & Cook C (2006)
“Effectiveness of post-match recovery strategies in rugby players.”
Published in British Journal of Sports Science. This study showed similar reductions in one marker of muscle
damage (CPK) with all recovery strategies, including wearing Skins™, compared with no intervention.
Argos C (2005)
“Performance effects of wearing compression garments during exercise and recovery.”
This study found significant improvements in repeated sprint times at day 2 and 7; greater concentric and eccentric
strength; and lower post-exercise pain.

“The physiological and performance effects of lower-body compression garments in high-performance
cyclists.”
This study showed practical improvements in muscle oxygenation and power output at anaerobic threshold.
Wilangowski R (2004)
“Thermographic summary of high tech compression garments.”
This reports the thermographs showed clear differences between the surface temperatures when wearing
Skins™ of between 3 and 5 degrees at the working muscle.
